Park Story Time Series
Enjoy the beauty of summer with the Park Story Time Series in August. Aimed at children 18 months old to 5 years old, families are invited to gather at local parks for stories, songs, movement activities, and simple crafts in a fun outdoor setting. Each program encourages families to get into nature while enjoying reading and learning.
The dates and locations are as follows:
Wednesday, August 12 at 3:00PM | Colligan Park – Intersection of NY Rt 417 and NY 19, Wellsville
Wednesday, August 19 at 3:00PM | Veterans Memorial Park – N Brooklyn St, Wellsville
Wednesday, August 26 at 3:00PM | Dyke Pavilion at Island Park – W Dyke St, Wellsville
All Star Story Times and School Bus Story Time
We have three special story times on the last three Fridays in August.
August 14: Amy Hunt, Wellsville Elementary School Librarian, will join us for a fun story time.
August 21: We will have a School Bus Story Time featuring bus stories and the chance to see a school bus up close!
August 28: Haleigh Mikolajczyk from STLS will join us and read some sun-themed stories.
Paint with a Purpose
Join us for a special kids’ crafting afternoon in the picture book room. Supplies will be provided to paint birdhouses and suncatchers. Donate some for the Hart Comfort House of Allegany County to put in its gardens and take some with you to beautify your own home. Craft for a cause with us!
